Panasonic SRG10G 5-Cup Automatic Rice Cooker Review
This Panasonic 5 cup rice cooker is one of the simplest models available in today's market. It belongs to what is known as the "single switch rice cooker" category, simpler models for those people on a tighter budget and interested only in cooking rice and making simple dishes with your their cookers.
Like the majority of the rice cookers, this model switches from cooking to warming mode once the rice is done. This happens in order to avoid burning your food, just in case there is no person around to monitor the rice. The warming mode, however, works for only 4 hours, instead of the usual 12-24 of other models. Still, it keeps the rice warm and moist for long enough, so you can still have a delicious meal.
This rice cooker has a glass lid, which allows you to verify how the cooking is coming along from time to time if you so wish. The glass lid is removable and easily washable, so it is easy to always keep it clean.
Speaking of which, the non-stick coating is also very good and helps with maintenance. If you have ever had the joy of washing a rice pot with burnt rice, you will know exactly what this means... Simply put some water on the rice cooker when you are done with the food and go have dinner. By the end of your meal, the pot will be ready to be washed.
