Choosing to buy a Zojirushi rice cooker

Many people decide to buy a Zojirushi rice cooker to help them start to improve their diets. Others because they are upgrading or replacing their existing machine. There are a whole range of their rice cooking devices to choose from so how do we choose which one is best for our needs. There are two main things to consider and then some finer points too.

Firstly, what size of high quality cookware do you need? They come in three different sizes, 3 cup, 5 1/2 cup and 10 cup. This is the amount of un-cooked rice that you add to the machine. They are able to feed up to 5, 10 and 18 people respectively. So it is important to get one that is a good fit for your needs. It would be un-necessary for someone living alone to go for a 10 cup machine. And of course if you have a large family then a 3 cup machine will be too small.

Secondly there are major differences in the price that you can pay for a Zojirushi rice cooker. This varies from the most expensive NP-HTC10/18 cookers down to much cheaper devices such as the NS-PC10/18. It is a good idea to think of a figure that you are prepared to spend and then go and find a rice cooker within that budget. There are a host of mid-priced models like the NS-TGC10/18 and the NS-ZCC10/18 too. So there will be a rice cooker to fit any budget.

Amongst the rice cookers there are some differences too. Typically, the more expensive the machine, the better the rice will taste. However this difference is marginal. There have some different settings too. Some of them can be used to cook cakes and one had a risotto setting. This is the Rizo NS-XAC05.
