Amazon Europe Sells DVD Rental Service
In a unexpetedly and unusual move, Amazon Europe sold its DVD rental service to LoveFilms International. LoveFilms is Europes version of Netflix in the U.S.
So what you're asking?
Well, Amazon Europe then turns around and invest some major bucks into LoveFilms International! This deal will make Amazon Europe the largest shareholder plus give LoveFilms access to over 1 million users in the United Kingdom, Germany and Scandanavia.
This deal is expected to give Amazon Europe access to a wider customer base as well.
